I currently live in Baltimore, MD with my wonderful husband (we got married on October, 27, 2012), Mike, who’s known me since I was 15. This means he knew me in all my awkward glory and loves me just the same – how lucky am I? When I’m not being a goof with him I’m spending time with my equally wonderful girlfriends (you know who you are) – whether we’re celebrating a success or crying on each other’s shoulders when things aren’t going how we planned, we’re always there for each other. I’m so lucky to have maintained lasting friendships from college and found new ones in this post-graduate life I’ve made. Not to mention my awesome family – I am truly fortunate.
I’m an editor and writer by trade, but am currently working on my freelance career as I figure out what’s next. I’m afraid that once the word “editor” or “writer” leaves my mouth my writing will be held to a higher standard (which I can understand). While this blog is an outlet for my thoughts and feelings on having cystic fibrosis, it’s also a place I’ve created to allow myself to exercise my passion for the English language, so I’m allowing myself to remove the pressure of perfection. Hopefully From A to Pink will help me continue to improve my writing and editing skills. After all, we’re our own harshest critics, right?
